CBD
CBD is one of the most prevalent compounds in the hemp industry. The top health and wellness brand delivers the highest-quality CBD products. CBD, or cannabidiol, is the second most prevalent active ingredient in cannabis. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), another active compound found in cannabis, CBD is non-psychoactive and does not produce the “high” typically associated with cannabis use. In recent years, CBD has gained popularity for its potential therapeutic benefits and is used to treat a wide range of medical conditions. In this blog post, we will discuss the various uses of CBD and the scientific evidence supporting its effectiveness. While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant. The reported health benefits of CBD cover a variety of conditions. CBD is more than just dosing, it’s a lifestyle. A lifestyle that promotes happiness for every person (and every pet).
Delta 8
Delta 8 is one of more than 100 cannabinoids found in cannabis sativa plants. It is an isomer of Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, the compound commonly known as THC. Concentrated amounts of Delta 8 are typically manufactured from hemp-derived CBD, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Delta 8 doesn’t contain as many psychoactive properties, so you don’t get a heavy high where you’re anxious or can’t quite function at your highest potentials. Unlike CBD, Delta 8 produces elevated effects that are similar to but milder than those of Delta-9 THC, the well-known psychoactive compound in cannabis. The only difference between the two molecules is the location of a double bond between two carbons.
Hemp-derived Delta-9 THC
Hemp-derived Delta-9 THC is a cannabinoid that is isolated from hemp and has been shown to have prospective health benefits. It may also help to improve sleep quality and reduce stress levels. The practical differences between hemp-derived delta-9 THC and conventional THC are in their potency at the product level. Most regulated cannabis products have no THC potency limits and contain higher concentrations between 15-25%.
THC-B
THC-B is an innovative cannabinoid which carries psychoactive effects and euphoric feelings associated with the typical properties associated with cannabis use. THC-B is similar in strength to THC-P, but with a different buzz and experience. THC-B has roughly the same strength as THC-P, with a strength around 30x stronger than regular Delta-9. THC-B is unique from Delta-9 THC in that it has a butyl side chain rather than a pentyl side chain, and what this does is help the cannabinoid attach to CB1 receptors in the brain more effectively. Because of this, THC-B’s effects are extremely potent by comparison.
THC-H
THC-H, aka tetrahydrocannabihexol, is the second most potent cannabinoid in all the hemp plant, with a strength thought to be 25 times stronger than regular THC. It is said that THC-H provides a unique, enjoyable experience. THC-H is a hexyl homolog of Delta 9 THC, so the molecules between the two cannabinoids are identical, but are arranged uniquely to have distinctive properties from one another.
THC-P
THC-P, or tetrahydrocannabiphorol, is naturally found in cannabis plants in very low concentrations. THCP is an organic cannabinoid (or phytocannabinoid) very similar to Delta-9 THC, which is the most abundant cannabinoid in most strains of marijuana. Although first identified in a particular marijuana strain, THC-P can also be manufactured in a lab by chemically manipulating CBD extracted from legal hemp plants.
THCjd
THCjd is a promising cannabinoid currently making waves in the hemp industry. This rare and potent cannabinoid is a naturally occurring cannabinoid that will provide euphoric effects. Delta-9 THC has five carbon atoms on its sidechain, whereas THCjd has eight. This more significant number of carbon atoms is thought to make THCjd far more psychoactive than Delta-9-THC, as it may allow the cannabinoid to bind with biological endocannabinoid receptors in the human body.
