CBD is the abbreviation for cannabidiol, one of the many cannabinoids, or chemical compounds, found in marijuana and hemp. Today, it has become a phenomenon. It comes in the form of CBD gummies, CBD tinctures, CBD softgels, and just about any other product you could think of.

While CBD is taking the world by storm, the lack of standards can cause confusion for consumers. Knowing how CBD oil is created can be essential to making sure you get ONLY real and pure products.

Let’s take an in-depth look at the CBD extraction process.

The Smilyn CBD Extraction Process

Step 1: Organic Farming

Every product Smilyn invents starts with our natural proprietary strains of phytocannabinoid-rich hemp. All the hemp we utilize is grown in nutrient-rich soil in Colorado. Our farmers operate under strict guidelines and implement only 100% organic methods.

We take advantage of a high-tech farming process. Not only does this improve the quality of our natural proprietary strains, but it also certifies our products are safe, regulated, and unrivaled in their potency and consistency.

Step 2: Raw Hemp Processing

Once harvested, the plants we use are dried and warehoused. When we need a plant for production and milled into a coarse powder. The pulverizing method obeys to the highest quality standards in the industry. Once processed, it is transported to our processing and manufacturing facility in Colorado.

Step 3: Proprietary Extraction and Solids Separation

We employ a meticulous proprietary hemp extraction and purification process. This process ensures our hemp’s salubrious phytocannabinoids, terpenes, terpenoids, and flavonoids are conserved. It also gets rid of unnecessary compounds while inhibiting natural molecules from degrading. The result? The highest quality broad-spectrum hemp oil available on the market today.

Every drop of our phytocannabinoid rich (PCR) hemp oil contains 112 cannabinoids, including CBD, CBDA, CBG, CBN, CBC, and THCA. You will also find a variety of naturally occurring terpenes and flavonoids. What it means for you is that Smilyn products contain a broad-spectrum of beneficial natural compounds.

Step 4: Distillation

The oil is distilled to detach the hemp extract from the food-grade ethanol used in the extraction process. We are one of the few facilities in the world that utilize this food-grade ethanol.

Step 5: THC Removal and Refining

One of the most crucial steps in the development is to eliminate even the tiniest traces of THC. THC is the compound found in hemp and cannabis that produces the ‘high’ associated with the plant. We use exclusive technology to eradicate unwanted compounds still present in the oil. These compounds include wax, chlorophyll, plant pigments, and trace amounts of THC.

It is then ‘washed’ and ‘polished’ to create the highest quality, CBD oil available. Because our products are 100 percent THC free, we can ship them across state lines and to most countries around the world.

Step 6: In House and Third-Party Lab Testing

We test every production run for quality and potency. This process makes sure that all the cannabinoids, terpenes, essential fatty acids, and phytonutrients are consistent and pure. Ever y batch goes through rigorous testing in our in-house laboratory.

When the batch passes, it receives a Certificate of Analysis and a Certificate of Quality Assurance that we make available to our customers. We also use third-party labs monthly to verify and confirm the Certificates. And here’s the excellent news: to date, not one batch has failed to meet our unprecedented testing standards!

Step 7: Our Proprietary Nano Emulsion Technology

Some of our products require our oil to go through another processing step. The raw hemp oil goes through a proprietary process that transforms it into nano-sized emulsions. This process ensures the most bioavailable broad-spectrum CBD in the industry.

Our competitor ’s hemp oil particles are anywhere between 150 and 5000 nanometer s in size. Our particles are 25-60. This small size gives them improved bioavailability, leading to much more beneficial absorption.

This nanoemulsion process can make our methods five times more bioavailable than oil-based products. It also makes it four times more bioavailable than other water-soluble hemp-based oils. This allows the consumer to use less of our product to achieve the same level of benefit as the products sold by most of our competitors.

We believe that’s a reason to smile. Better results, better worth, better outcomes.

While CBD, on its own offer s several health benefits, a growing body of research has found that a broad-spectrum product (a product containing other naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes derived from hemp) leads to proliferating benefits. This process is called the entourage effect. But the process isn’t completely done. Once extracted, the oil is pressed to separate most of the oil from the plant solids.
